The present invention relates to a laminate and system for displaying items. In particular, it relates to a laminate device that allows fixtures to be magnetically attached to its display surface. A laminate device comprising (a) a first layer of a rigid material having a display surface; and (b) a second layer of a rigid material bonded to the first layer on the opposite side of the display surface, wherein the second layer comprises at least one magnetic element. The display system comprises at least one of the laminate device, wherein the device is secured to a structural surface. The laminate device and system may be used for displaying items for sale in retail shops or as part of an effort to dress up a retail shop.
