Disclosed are: a color developing photosensitive composition which exhibits good post-exposure color development stability by infrared laser light exposure and is capable of achieving good color development even by exposure after long time storage; and a lithographic printing original plate. Specifically disclosed are: a color developing photosensitive composition which is characterized by containing microgel that internally contains (A) a polymer that has a glass transition temperature of 50°C or more, (B) a photoinitiator and (C) an infrared absorbing dye; and a lithographic printing original plate which comprises an image recording layer that contains the composition.
