PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent (EL) device that extends the element service life of an LT 80. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent device has: a pair of electrodes that are composed of a positive electrode and a negative electrode; a light-emitting layer that is arranged between the electrodes; and a functional layer that is arranged between the light-emitting layer and the positive electrode. In the organic electroluminescent device, the functional layer contains an n-type semiconductor and a polymer compound that contains a repeating unit having an amine residue.
