PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power plant eliminating instability of flow in heat exchange and improving the thermal efficiency. SOLUTION: Steam generated in a nuclear reactor 2 is supplied to a high pressure turbine 3, and the steam discharged from the high pressure turbine 3 is superheated in a moisture separation superheater 33 and is supplied to a low pressure turbine 5B. The steam from the low pressure turbine 5B is condensed in a condenser 11 and is supplied as water supply to the nuclear reactor 2 through water supply piping 15. In the water supply piping 15, low pressure water supply heaters 17D, 17C, 17B, 17A and high pressure water supply heaters 16B, 16A, which are direct contact type water supply heaters, are installed in this order toward the nuclear reactor 2. In these direct contact type water supply heaters, in respective containers, the steam bled from a main steam system of the high pressure turbine 3, etc. and the water supply introduced through the water supply piping 15 contact and exchange heat with each other.
