PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purification device of an internal combustion engine using the ozone in which the generation of corrosion due to remaining unused ozone is prevented. SOLUTION: The exhaust gas purification device of the internal combustion engine which oxidatively decomposes a hydrogen sulfide generated upon sulfur poisoning regeneration with ozone is provided with an ozone generator, an oxygen-resistant ozone supply pipe that leads the ozone from the ozone generator to an exhaust passage, an ozone supply valve that opens and closes a supply port from the ozone supply pipe to the exhaust passage, and a heating means that heats the ozone supply pipe. When the supplying of the ozone from the ozone generator is stopped, the ozone supply valve is closed and the heating means is operated so that the unused ozone confined in the ozone supply pipe is thermally decomposed.
