PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid driving circuit suppressing response delay caused by a surge voltage. SOLUTION: The solenoid driving circuit 10 includes: a solenoid coil 11 for effecting a plunger sucking operation; a bidirectional Zener diode 40 connected in parallel with the solenoid coil 11 and absorbing the surge voltage generated when current conduction to the solenoid coil 11 is stopped down to a Zener voltage; and a hold transistor 32 connected in series with the solenoid coil 11 and the bidirectional Zener diode 40. When a supply voltage is applied, the hold transistor 32 is turned on to form a current conduction path of the solenoid coil 11. In the above configuration, it is configured that the surge voltage which is reduced to the Zener voltage by the bidirectional Zener diode 40 is applied to the hold transistor 32.
