Disclosed is a breakage prevention mechanism which is capable of conveying work in a state in which the positions of a matched pair of arms that support both ends of a crossbar are displaced, and preventing the breakage of the crossbar or the like even if the arms are displaced to each other greater than the assumption. Specifically disclosed is a breakage prevention mechanism (10) which is used for a crossbar-system conveying device provided with a pair of arms (11) that are synchronized with each other and move approximately parallel to each other, and a crossbar (12) laid between the ends of the arms (11). In the breakage prevention mechanism (10), the both ends of the crossbar (12) and the arms (11) are pivotably connected in a biaxial manner, the both ends of the crossbar (12) are slidably configured in the X axis direction relative to the arms (12) in the connecting section, and plungers (P) which restrain the sliding and pivoting of both of the both ends of the crossbar and the arms, or only the sliding in the normal state, and release the restraint by means of unintended external force to protect the crossbar are provided between the both ends of the crossbar (12) and the arms (11). |
