<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic light-emitting device which has superior efficiency and life, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The organic light-emitting device 200 includes a substrate 210, a first electrode 220, a second electrode 290, and a hole transport layer 240, an emission layer 250 and an electron transport layer 260 interposed between the first electrode and second electrode. The hole transport layer includes one or more hole transport units each including: a first hole transport layer containing a hole transporting material, a third hole transport layer formed on the first hole transport layer and containing a charge generating material; and a fifth hole transport layer formed on the third hole transport layer and containing the hole transporting material.
