<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus suppressing generation of toner or ink for a needless image by reducing an area the image has in the width direction of transfer material when carrying out a borderless printing of the image to transfer material. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 which carries out the borderless printing by printing a magnified toner image G which is magnified to be larger than the size of sheet P in the conveying direction of the sheet L and in the width direction of the sheet M to the sheet P, includes: a controller 50 to control so that a first extrusion amount is set to be smaller than a second extrusion amount when the first extrusion amount is defined as the amount in which a left edge section N1 and a right edge section N2 in the magnified toner image G extrudes more than a left edge section P11 and a right edge section P12 of the sheet P in the width direction of the sheet M on the downstream side of the conveying direction of the sheet L and the second extrusion amount is defined as the amount in which a left edge section N1 and the right edge section N2 of the magnified toner image G extrudes more than the left edge section P11 and the right edge section P12 of the sheet P in the width direction of the sheet M in the upstream side of the conveying direction of the sheet L. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
