PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a viewing contract of pay digital television, and to reduce cost for the invitation of a viewing contractor and a contract procedure. SOLUTION: In this contract method, a viewing invitation and a subscription application message are transmitted to a digital television 3 using a data broadcast line 5 except main broadcast. When a viewer who desires subscription operates a remote controller 4 according to the subscription application message to transmit an intention of the subscription to a management server 6 of a customer center, the management server 6 takes in personal information from an the ID of a B-CAS card of the television 3, and in the case of a person whose temporary viewing history remains or a re-contract applicant, performs matching with personal information in the past, establishes viewing contract when it is determined that the matching is proper, and cancels a scramble to allow viewing.
