The invention relates to a sidewall for a tire, at least a portion of which has a rubber composition based on at least one diene elastomer, a cross-linking system and a reinforcing filler, characterized in that the proportion of reinforcing filler in the composition varies from 20 to 30 parts by weight per hundred parts of elastomer, pce, a reinforcing filler volume fraction in the composition being from 8.0% to 3.0%, and in that said reinforcing filler includes mostly a carbon black or a mixture of carbon blacks having a BET specific surface area running from 50m2/g to 69 m2/g.
