Class 81(2) A compression bandage for the treatment of phlebitis comprises an elastic bandage and a flat rubber pad to be held against the affected part by the bandage, the rubber pad having a flat outer side to be directed towards the bandage and a flat inner side with a bevelled outer edge. A rubber pad 3 is placed over a dressing 2 on the affected part and is held in position by an elastic adhesive or non-adhesive bandage. The pad 3 is made from foam or sponge rubber and is bevelled at the edge 4 on the body side. The pad 3 may have a substantially rectangular or kidney shape.
