<p>Disclosed is a front-side member structure which is provided at the lower portion of the vehicle, extends in an anteroposterior direction of the vehicle, and is used to form the framework of the vehicle. The front-side member structure comprises an under member part (2) extending in the anteroposterior direction and a kick part (3) provided at the front of the under member part and extending in a forward and upward direction, and is characterized in that the front contour (32) in the side view of the kick part is inclined at an angle closer to the vertical direction than the rear contour (35) in the side view of the kick part. This enables to make the cross section smaller at the upper part of the kick member where the moment to be generated by the collision of the vehicle is small, and makes the cross section larger at the lower part where the moment to be generated is large. Accordingly, it is possible to strengthen the proof stress against the moment with the increase in the moment to be generated at the part.</p> |
