PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and correctly read disk management information in a disk that uses a plurality of data recording densities.

SOLUTION: An optical disk 1 has a plurality of recording regions 103 and 104 in which information is recorded with different data recording densities. Information on the data recording densities in the data recording regions 103 and 104 is recorded in a BCA region 101 by using a specific format independent of the data recording densities of the data recording regions 103 and 104. The data recording regions are each disposed in the same surface of the disk or into a plurality of recording layers.
