PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice data receiver and a voice data receiving method to be used by a program provider for providing voice with a high degree of freedom. SOLUTION: The voice data receiver 1 includes: a receiving unit which receives network connection association data which associates program information with voice data ID and URL information; a display control unit which displays the received program information; a cursor position management unit 21 which manages desired program information indicated by the cursor in the displayed program information; a URL acquisition unit 23 which acquires corresponding URL information from the network connection association data, based on the voice data ID contained in the desired program information thus managed; a voice data acquisition unit 24 which acquires voice data from a voice data server based on the acquired URL information; and a voice data control unit 26 which controls reproduction of the acquired voice data.
