An endoscopic treatment device (41) is provided with an insertion section (42) which is to be inserted into a body cavity, a grip section (400) which is interconnected with the base end of the insertion section (42), a wipe-off section (417) which is provided to the front end of the insertion section (42) and which rotates to wipe off a deposit (418) adhering to an observation surface (54b) provided to the front end of a lens (54b), a shaft member (500) through which the insertion section (42) is inserted and which is connected to the wipe-off section (417), and an operation section (419) which is provided along the entire circumferential periphery of the front end (400f) of the grip section (400) in the longitudinal direction of the grip section (400), is connected to the shaft member (500), and operates the wipe-off section (417) through the shaft member (500). The center axis (501a) of the operation section (419) is coaxial with the center axis (501b) of the endoscope (51) in a state in which the endoscope (51) is inserted through both the grip section (400) and the insertion section (42).
