<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a preset stored with setting about an uninstalled printer driver from remaining continuously in a system after uninstalled, as a preset with no practical meaning, when uninstalling the printer driver, in the system with an OS holding print setting and the preset traversal to the printer driver. <P>SOLUTION: An uninstaller extracts the print setting included only in the printer driver to be uninstalled, deletes information of the extracted print setting from all the presets (preset description file 811) registered in the OS, extracts default values of print setting items in all the print queues other than the print queue corresponding to the driver to be uninstalled, deletes information of the preset with no difference from the extracted default value in the extracted print setting, from the preset description file 811, and uninstalls the printer driver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
