<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply stable fixing quality by reducing a temperature ripple. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: an end temperature detection sensor 37 disposed on the end side in the width direction of a fixing belt 21 to abut on the other side surface of a heating element 25b, one side surface which contacts the fixing belt 21; and a center temperature detection sensor 35 disposed on the center side in the width direction to abut on the inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt 21. The heating elements 25a, 25b are installed to vary the distribution of heat generation in the width direction of the fixing belt 21, and the temperature is controlled based on the detection results of the end temperature detection sensor 37 in the non-rotating state of the fixing belt 21, and based on the detection results of the center temperature detection sensor 35 in the rotating state of a fixing member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
