PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resource virtualization system capable of reducing a man-hour required to change a resource identifier and coping with a change in the resource identifier during the operation of a production plant. SOLUTION: The resource virtualization system includes: a virtual file 2 for making a resource identifier given to each of resources associated with a virtual resource name set as a temporary name of a resource identifier for storage; and a virtual file access program 3 for acquiring, from the virtual file 2, the resource identifier associated with the virtual resource name and stored in the virtual file 2 by using the acquired virtual resource name when acquiring the virtual resource name from application software 50 and transferring the acquired resource identifier to the application software 50.
