PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing colloid containing an inorganic particle composite, particularly an inorganic particle composite stabilized byπ-conjugated polymer. SOLUTION: The method for producing the inorganic particle colloid is carried out by bringing polythiophene expressed by formula (1) into contact with metal ion in a solvent to cause reaction converting the metal ion into metal or metal oxide. In formula, (n) pieces of X express all sulfur atom or a part of X expresses a sulfur atom and the remainder is NH, R expresses a 1-6C alkyl group which can be replaced by phenyl group or 2-methoxy group, m<SB>1</SB>is 1-2, m<SB>2</SB>is 2-12, n is 500-2,000 and Y expresses a halogen atom.
