PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a transmission shaft cover in a prescribed position at a self-propelled machine body side or a mower side by fixing the cover, and to enable the attaching or detaching operation of the transmission shaft cover to be carried out easily. SOLUTION: The riding-type mower is constituted as follows. The transmission shaft cover 5 is constituted of a cover body 50, supporters 53 and 54, and a linking mechanism 6. The linking mechanism 6 is constituted of pin members 61 between the cover body 50 and the supporters 53 and 54, and engaging parts 51c and 52c. A separation-restricting body 60 for blocking the separation of the right or left one pin member 61 from the engaging parts 51c or 52c is attached so that the posture may be changed between a separation-restricting posture and a posture releasing the restriction of the separation. A space part for the separation for allowing the other pin member 61 in both the pin members 61 to be separated from the engaging part 51c or 52c by releasing the restriction of the separation of one pin member 61 is formed at the linking position of the cover body 50 with the supporters 53 and 54.
