In order to provide an inexpensive pulse laser device that is capable of welding transparent members, a pulse laser device is provided with: a laser light source (1) that repeatedly outputs a pulse laser; a demultiplexer (2) that demultiplexes the pulse laser outputted from the laser light source (1) into two pulse lasers; a first pulse string generating means (3) that updates the peak power and/or the pulse width of one of the two pulse lasers demultiplexed by the demultiplexer (2), to generate a first pulse string; and a multiplexer (4) that multiplexes the other pulse laser of the two pulse lasers demultiplexed by the demultiplexer (2) with the first pulse string generated by the first pulse string generating means (3). A pulse laser, obtained by superimposing a low peak power pulse laser onto a high peak power ultra-short pulse laser, is output from the pulse laser device.
