OIL COMPOSITION, AND TRACE AMOUNT OIL SUPPLY TYPE CUTTING/GRINDING PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil composition for a trace amount oil supply type cutting/grinding processing having both high workability and safety, and to provide a trace amount oil supply type cutting/grinding processing method by using the oil composition.

SOLUTION: The oil composition comprises a lubricant oil base oil and an alkylene oxide adduct of a hydroxy acid having a hydrophile-lipophile index of 8-14, and is used in a trace amount oil supply type cutting/grinding processing. In addition, the trace amount oil supply type cutting/grinding processing method comprises a step of supplying the oil composition in the form of a mist to a part to be processed in a material of interest together with a compressed fluid.
