<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a phase for an optical pulse output by a laser, without the use of the detection result of the phase difference of the optical pulse output by two lasers. <P>SOLUTION: A phase control device 1 of the laser optical pulse includes a laser 12 for outputting the laser optical pulse; a reference comparator 22 for comparing an output voltage of a reference electric signal source 21 of a given frequency with a grounding potential to output the result; a measuring comparator 15 for comparing a voltage, based on the light intensity of the laser optical pulse and a voltage of a measuring electric signal having a given frequency (output of an amplifier 18) with a voltage of a phase control signal output by a first phase control signal source 13 to output the result; a phase comparator 32 for detecting the phase difference of an output of the reference comparator 22 and an output of the measuring comparator 15; and a loop filter 34 for eliminating the high-frequency components of the output of the phase comparator 32. The voltage of the phase control signal differs from the grounding potential.
