PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fixing device capable of suppressing the deterioration in the fixability of a developer and image quality due to the displacement of a recording medium, in a direction of crossing the conveying direction of the recording medium. SOLUTION: The fixing device 50 includes a laser light generating device 52 for irradiating a continuous paper P with a laser light and a first reflector 54 reflecting the laser light emitted by the laser light generating device 52 and scattered on the continuous paper P toward the continuous paper P again. The cross-sectional shape of the first reflector 54 is ellipsoidal, and the positions of a first intersection K1 where the first angle component LD1 and third angle component LD3 of the laser light reflected by the first reflector 54 cross with each other and a second intersection K2, where the second angle component LD2 and fourth angle component LD4 of the laser light reflected by the first reflector cross with each other are different in the displacing direction of the continuous paper P. Thus, even if the continuous paper P is displaced, change in light energy used for heating toner is made smaller and deterioration in the fixability of the developer and the image quality is suppressed.
