PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for a cap applicator in which a thermoplastic resin cap is fixed positively and stably to an opening planned portion of a slant top surface of a paper container. SOLUTION: A cap applicator 4 is provided with a cap feeding segment 7 for use in forming a paper container 1 having a cap 3 fixed thereon in the midway part where a paper container body 2 is transferred by a transferring conveyor 6. An accumulation conveyor 6a and a transferring conveyor 6c of the transferring conveyor 6 are inclined by an angleαso as to transfer the paper container 2 while the slant surface 2d of a top surface 2b having an easy cutting part G formed thereon being formed. The cap 3 is transferred to a feeding pocket 7d at a peripheral edge of a circular cap feeding table 7c at the cap feeding segment 7, the lower surface of the cap 3 held from the feeding pocket 7d with a cap fixing means 12 under a timing in which the paper container body 2 passes by a cap fixing position 11 is melted by a microflame and the like, moved down in a vertical direction and fitted to the easy cutting part G acting as an opening planned portion of the paper container body 2 and its top surface peripheral edge G1.
