PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device with an antitheft function, and a swing detector for the electronic device. SOLUTION: The electronic device with the antitheft function includes an alarm unit, the swing detector, and a microprocessor connected between the alarm unit and the swing detector. The swing detector includes a body, mercury held in the body, and a plurality of conductors installed in the body. Two adjacent conductors are connected to a power supply end and a grounding end of the microprocessor respectively. When the electronic device is horizontally left after the microprocessor enters an antitheft mode, the two adjacent conductors are not electrically connected, but when the electronic device is swung, the mercury in the body moves and the two adjacent conductors are electrically connected. The power supply end and the grounding end of the microprocessor thereby become conductive, and the microprocessor starts the alarm unit to give a warning. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
