PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overhead traveling crane which enables an operator to visually confirm the present position of the crane and which has superior working efficiency and safety. SOLUTION: A sign 37 indicating the low-speed operation zone of a saddle 11 which can be easily visually confirmed from a cabin 14 or from a place in which the crane is operated by a radio controller is attached to both end side surfaces of a runway 13 on which the saddle 11 for supporting the crane girder 9 of the overhead traveling crane 1 travels. A sign 43 indicating the center position of the saddle 11 which can be easily visually confirmed from the cabin 14 or the place in which the crane is operated by the radio controller is attached to the side surface center of the saddle 11. Therefore, the operator can easily visually confirm that the center position of the saddle 11 enters the low-speed operation zone from the cabin 14 or the place in which the crane is operated by the radio controller. Consequently, the operator can safely stop the saddle 11 for supporting the crane girder 9 without allowing the saddle to collide with a traveling stopper 31. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
