PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire detector whose test time in one fire detector is short, whose total time is shortened when many fire detectors are sequentially tested, and in which a worker's burden is less in a fire detector in which one fire detector includes: a test means of a fire detection part in the right direction; and a test means of a fire detection part in the left direction. SOLUTION: When a test start instruction for testing a fire monitoring area in the right direction and a fire monitoring area in the left direction is received, a light emission part in the right direction and a light emission part in the left direction are simultaneously made to emit light, it is determined whether or not a test output value or test result in one light receiving part of a light receiving part for monitoring the right direction, a light receiving part for monitoring the left direction is normal, a test output value or test result in the other light receiving part of the light receiving part for monitoring the right direction, a light receiving part for monitoring the left direction is stored in the storage part, when a test start instruction to the other light receiving part is received, it is determined whether or not the test output value or test result stored in the storage part is normal.
