PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic switch in which operation is stable, even when it is operated in a high-sensitivity region. SOLUTION: The magnetic switch includes a magnetic sensor of which a resistance value varies against an external magnetic field from the direction of a sensitivity axis; and a control means to output a detection signal, based on a sensor output changed based on resistance change of the magnetic sensor. The magnetic sensor includes a magnetic resistance effect element 1 to have the sensitivity axis in a specified direction; a magnetic amplified membrane 3 arranged to pinch the magnetic resistance effect element 1 in the direction of the sensitivity axis; and a magnetic shield membrane 4, arranged so as to be superimposed on the magnetic resistance effect element 1 and the magnetically amplified membrane 3, in a region wider than a region occupied by the magnetic resistance effect element 1 and the magnetically amplified membrane 3.
