A window lifter assembly for a motor vehicle is provided. The window lifter assembly comprising a flexible pulling means for transmitting a driving force produced by a window lifter drive to a window pane to be adjusted, comprising a carrier, which is to be tied on one hand to flexible pulling means and to which the window pane is to be fixed on the other hand so that the window pane is connected to the flexible pulling means via the carrier, and comprising guiding means being spaced apart contact free from the carrier for guiding the window pane along an adjustment path defined by the guiding means. The window pane is moved together with the carrier in said adjustment path if a drive force is applied to the window pane directly by the window pane which is guided on the guiding means, without the carrier engaging in a guiding device that extends along the adjustment path enforces a movement along the adjustment path on the carrier in addition to the connection of the carrier to the flexible pulling means.
