The disclosed light-emitting device (1) emits light with the optical axis (A) located at the center, and includes: a light source (2); and a lens (3) that radially spreads out the light emitted from the light source (2). The light source (2) has a light-emitting surface (21) extending in the X direction which is orthogonal to the optical axis (A). The lens (3) is structured in a manner such that the refractive power in the Y direction, which is orthogonal to the X direction, is larger than the refractive power in the X direction. For example, the incident surface (31) of the lens (3) includes an anamorphic curved surface having mutually-different curved shapes in the X direction and the Y direction.
