<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter operation unit capable of reducing a circuit scale, and to provide a filter operation method and a motion compensation processing device. <P>SOLUTION: The filter operation unit 1 is provided with: input data output parts 10A and 10B which output set data every 3 bits in order to perform the operation of a multiplier following booth algorithm; a detector 11 which further classifies the set data into a first group, a second group and a third group from the upper bit side, and detects that the set data belonging to the first group are a non-operation object set which is all 0 or all 1; a booth encoder 13 to which the set data other than the non-operation object set of the first group, the set data belonging to the second group and the set data of the third group making a pair with the non-operation object set of the first group are input, and which generates code data by encoding the input data following the booth algorithm; and a partial product generation part 14 which multiplies the code data by a multiplicand, and outputs the multiplication result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
