<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an extract of Sasa veitchii f. tyugokensis (hereinafter abbreviated as Sasa) by a method different from a conventional method in raw materials and treating processes, to demonstrate that the obtained Sasa extract is a safe and untroubled material, and to provide a new use of the extract. <P>SOLUTION: The Sasa extract can be produced by treating Sasa in a hot pressurized water at 150-200°C under 0.4-1.6 MPa pressure for 60-180 min. The extract is useful as a preventing and/or ameliorating agent for constipation, an agent for suppressing neutral fat level in blood and an agent for ameliorating dyslipidemia. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
