The invention relates to a high current connector for transmitting electrical currents, comprising at least one contact element (16) for establishing an electric contact between an internal current guiding element and an external current guiding element (14). The contact element (16) comprises a plurality of spring elements (18) for establishing an electric multi-point contact between the internal current guiding element and the external current guiding element (14). Said contact element (16) is arranged in a housing (10, 12) together with the external current guiding element (14) in such a manner that said spring elements (18) establish an electric contact with the external current guiding element (14) on the radial outer side of the contact element (16) and that an internal current guiding element can be inserted into the housing (10, 12) of a plug-in end of the high current connector in such a manner that the spring elements (18) establish a contact with the internal current guiding element on a radial inner side of the contact element (16). According to the invention, the housing (10, 12) overlaps, on the plug-in side end of the high current connector, the external current guiding element (14) in the axial direction, on a predetermined section and comprises, in the region of said predetermined section, a radially inwardly rising housing section (26) in such a manner that the contact element (16) is fixed to said rising housing section (26), in the axial direction inside the housing (10, 12). |
