PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual inspection apparatus allowing to simply readjusting a position of an image pickup unit. SOLUTION: In the visual inspection apparatus 1, the position of the image pickup unit 4 can be switched by a support part 13 between an imaging position where the image pickup unit 4 overlaps a rotary table 2 in a planar view and a save position where the image pickup unit 4 does not overlap the rotary table 2 in a planar view. Therefore, the rotary table 2 can be simply removed by evacuating the image pickup unit 4 to the save position when exchanging or maintaining the rotary table 2; while, the position of the image pickup unit 4 can be simply readjusted by returning the image pickup unit 4 to the imaging position after setting the rotary table 2 subsequent to the exchange or maintenance.
