PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience during reuse of a separated partial image. SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus has a reuse priority mode for arranging a partial image, in a form in which the partial image is readily reused, on converting it to software information to be used. When the reuse priority mode is selected, the image processing apparatus separates an original image into a plurality of partial images included in the original image; changes the arrangement by the type of the partial images and generates software information (104 and 112). When the reuse priority is selected and extraction of a specified type of partial images is designated, the image processing apparatus extracts the specified type of partial images, rearranges the partial images and generates software information (104, 108 and 110).
