PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aseismatic reinforcing method which carries out suitable aseismatic reinforcement of an existing revetment without contaminating the environment of the sea, rivers, lakes, or the like in carrying out construction. SOLUTION: The aseismatic reinforcing method for the existing revetment includes steps for: injecting a chemical solution in an area (D) near the quay wall normal line (VH) of the existing revetment (10), wherein the chemical solution has property to increase in viscosity immediately after injection to gelate; and improving soil in an area on the land side (G) rather than the area (D) injected with the chemical solution, after the injection of the chemical solution.
