PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which excels in low temperature fixing property and has favorable offset resistance, and which forms a high quality image with favorable sharpness over a long period of time without contaminating a fixing device and an image, and also to provide a developer using the toner. SOLUTION: The toner is obtained by removing an organic solvent from an O/W dispersion liquid in which an oil phase containing binder resin component and a colorant in the organic solvent is dispersed in an aqueous medium, and the binder resin component contains at least one or more types of a crystalline polyester resin or its precursor and noncrystalline polyester resin or its precursor, the crystalline polyester has an endothermic peak temperature (T2-cp) calculated from a second time of DSC rising temperature is 60°C or higher and less than 80°C, and has a difference from an endothermic shoulder temperature (T2-cs2) of less than 10°C.
