PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel cord for reinforcing rubber articles having improved cut resistance without decreasing the strength in the cord axis direction nor increasing tire weight, and to provide tires using the steel cord. SOLUTION: Thesteel cord 10 for reinforcing rubber articles, has double twist structure obtained by twisting plural sheath strands 2 formed by twisting plural filaments, around one core strand 1 formed by twisting plural filaments.
