PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device that effectively keeps dirt or dust from entering the surface of a liquid crystal display element without deteriorating image quality. SOLUTION: The electronic device includes: a back cover 6 including an opening; a liquid crystal display device 10 arranged inside the opening 60 of the back cover 6; a protective cover 7 which has a gap G between a display surface 10a of the liquid crystal display device 10 and itself and covers the opening 60 of the back cover 6 so as to face the display surface 10a; a liquid crystal holder 16 which is fixed to the back cover 6, supporting a backside 10b of the liquid crystal display device 10; and a buffer member 18 which is provided at the side of the liquid crystal display device 10 and is in abutment with an inner wall 6a of the back cover 6.
