PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method enabling easy production of a reinforced fiber preform with a flange having high strength using a braider, and to provide the reinforced fiber preform. SOLUTION: The method of producing the reinforced fiber preform includes a step of preparing a composition 12 including at least a first cylindrical part 21 and a second cylindrical part 22 in a seamless manner using the braider BR, and a step of forming a flange part 31 by deforming the first cylindrical part 21 and projecting the wall of the first cylindrical part 21 to the second cylindrical part 22.
