PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use expensive hardware resources in error diffusion. SOLUTION: An image processor 1 for performing error diffusion on pixels of an input image includes: a line buffer 20 which stores data for each of pixels to be processed before and after pixels of interest to be subjected to error diffusion; and an error diffusion processing section 10 which performs error diffusion on the pixels of interest by switching two or more types of error diffusion processing by using the line buffer 20.
