PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting chip disposal apparatus which reduces energy for conveying cutting chips, recovers recyclable cutting chips, and also recovers reusable cutting oil, at a low cost. SOLUTION: A cutting oil recovery means has: a first measuring means 1 for receiving, measuring and supplying cutting chips discharged from a machine tool: a first hopper 6 for containing the cutting chips supplied from the first measuring means 1; a first cutting chip transferring means 10 for transferring the cutting chips in the first hopper 6 up in the air at a proper height; an aerial transferring passage 14 consisting of a hollow pipe; a valve 11 which has the aerial transferring passage 14 and the first cutting chip transferring means 10, connected thereto to be freely connected and cut off, and through which the cutting chips pass; a second cutting chip transferring means 37 having the aerial transferring passage 14 connected thereto, for transferring the cutting chips into a second hopper 15 for containing the cutting chips; second measuring means 16 and 17 for measuring and supplying the cutting chips discharged from the second hopper 15; a dryer 20 for drying the cutting chips subjected to solid-liquid separation; a tubular passage through which cutting oil separated from the cutting chips passes; and a tank 41 for containing the cutting oil discharged from the tubular passage.
