<p>A wedge type rope fastening device for an elevator, less likely to damage the rope. A wedge type rope fastening device is provided with: a socket (2) which has formed therein a through-hole (1) having a first inner wall surface (1a) and also having a second inner wall surface (1b) tilted relative to the first inner wall surface (1a); and a wedge (3) which has a first outer wall surface (3a) and also has a second outer wall surface (3b) tilted relative to the first outer wall surface (3a) and around which a rope (5) is wrapped in such a manner that the rope (5) is sandwiched between the first inner wall surface (1a) and the first outer wall surface (3a) and also between the second inner wall surface (1b) and the second outer wall surface (3b). The angle of tilt of the second outer wall surface (3b) relative to the first outer wall surface (3a) is greater than the angle of tilt of the second inner wall surface (1b) relative to the first inner wall surface (1a).</p> |
