<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock ring for a pipe joint, achieving a reduction in an insertion load and easily fitted to a fitting portion provided in the pipe joint. <P>SOLUTION: This lock ring 100 arranged in the pipe joint and preventing slipping-out of a pipe body inserted into the pipe joint includes: a cylindrical lock ring body 2 having a slit 21 formed over the whole length in a length direction in one portion in a peripheral direction; and a plurality of pipe body retaining claws (pipe body retaining claws 31 on an insertion side and pipe body retaining claws 41 on a delivery side) provided in the peripheral direction in at least one portion of an intermediate portion in the length direction of the lock ring body 2.
