PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated paper for printing having an uneven texture appearance, which has no gloss unevenness produced in a printing surface and is excellent in printability, by carrying out unevenness processing. SOLUTION: In a coated paper for printing where at least one or more layers of coating layers mainly consisting of a pigment and an adhesive are prepared on a base paper, the coated paper for printing is characterized by having the outermost layer which is prepared with a coating amount in the range of 2.0 g/m<SP>2</SP>or more and 20.0 g/m<SP>2</SP>or less of a solid content per one side, and by giving subsequently unevenness processing to the outermost layer so that an arithmetic average roughness (Ra) which is specified in JIS B 0601-2001 becomes 3.6μm or more and 8.0μm or less and the recess interval becomes 120-600μm. Preferably, the coated paper for printing is characterized by being prepared so as to have the outermost layer which is prepared with a coating amount in the range of 4.0 g/m<SP>2</SP>or more and 10.0 g/m<SP>2</SP>or less of a solid content per one side by either one of an air knife coater, a film transfer coater, a curtain coater and a spray coater. Moreover preferably, the coated paper for printing is characterized by being prepared so as to have an undercoat layer of an coating amount of 5.0 g/m<SP>2</SP>or more of a solid content per one side by a blade coater, at least one or more layers between the outermost layer and the base paper.
