<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current sensor easy to assemble by solving a problem wherein, in the conventional current sensor, when being assembled, a bus bar is inserted to a magnetic core and at the same time the work of attaching a cover to a heat-sink needs to be carried out, but such work is difficult and requires a skill. <P>SOLUTION: The current sensor 13 is composed by including a first sensor module 31 which is attached on a heat sink 21, a second sensor module 32 and a substrate 34 on which a current detection element 33 are attached. In the first sensor module 31, a first magnetic core 42 is stored in a cover 41, and respective holes 43 for exposing both ends of the first magnetic core 42 are formed. In the second sensor module 32, a second magnetic core 52 is supported by a cover 51. The second magnetic core 52 have a gap 54 and the both ends are projected downward from the cover 51. By attaching the second sensor module 32 to the first sensor module 31, the leg part 52A of the second magnetic core 52 abuts to the first magnetic core 42 to form one magnetic core.
