PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a toner capable of efficiently manufacturing the toner superior in cleaning characteristics by lessening variation of charging characteristics between toner particles. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the toner has: a process for preparing resin solution for preparing the resin solution in which a resin material, a coloring agent, and kaolinite are included, wherein at least a part of the resin material is solved in the organic solvent; a process for preparing O/W emulsion for preparing the O/W emulsion through W/O emulsion by adding water-based liquid in the resin solution; a uniting process for obtaining united particles by uniting a dispersoid included in the O/W emulsion; and a process for removing organic solvent for removing the organic solvent included in the united particles.
