PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella and an umbrella cover configured to prevent a user from forgetting to take the umbrella when he leaves his house, prevent the user from forgetting to take the umbrella left in an umbrella stand placed in front of a store, and prevent someone from unlawfully taking away the umbrella when the user leaves the umbrella in an umbrella stand placed in front of a store. SOLUTION: The umbrella includes: weather information receiving means for receiving external weather information; user detecting means for detecting a user moving in front of an umbrella or a user being near the umbrella; and alarm generating means for reminding a user of the umbrella, when the user's move or presence is detected by the user detecting means, on a day or in a time zone in which an umbrella is required on the basis of weather information from the weather information receiving means.
